Hey everyone! I am your Communications(Tikshoret)VP. Last weekend, STUSY went to Hershey Park as an end of the year trip. I thought that it was a HUGE success! So many people came and had a blast! I think that we should make a trip to a theme park our end of the year trip EVERY YEAR! That would be so fun! Also, this year I am going to MAKE SURE I send out emails after each meeting to let everyone know what we discussed. Hey STUSY! So..I decided to create this page so that you guys at home can see what USY is really like. I know a lot of you who might not be in USY yet aren't sure if USY is right for you. Well, I think by reading our blog messages, you can see what its all about.

I myself, am not the most observant Jew at home. I don't keep kosher or light Shabbat candles. My family has their own traditions and I respect that. However, at USY, I feel a connection to Judiasm that I don't always feel at home. I used to think praying at synogogue was just a waste of time and REALLY BORING! ..but after my 8th grade Kadima Kallah, I found that praying wasn't so bad. I actually began to enjoy it.

Besides the whole Jewish side, the most important thing about USY is the friendships! In one year, I have become much closer to my lovely board members and have met some of the greatest people from all over Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. They are some of my best friends! It's hard to believe 2005-2006 year is coming to an end. I hope everybody has a great summer and I'll see you all at Hershey Park or our kick-off event this Fall!!
